Used as the cleaning agent and corrodent for the metal surface oxides and silicate film, to clean aluminum and alloy before they are plated. 2.5% solution is used for electrolyzing and polishing pure aluminum, removing weld flux from metal, and as the re-washing liquid for electroplating elements; used as the catalyst, antiseptics, chemical reagent for alkylation and polymerization, as the raw materials for making various fluoroboric salts
